Yoni Mapping for Womb Embodiment

Nov 28, 2025

What is it about the womb, vagina, yoni, etc., that causes so much unrest in the world? Every day I tune into the Social Media news world, someone is upset about a woman’s body, or is trying to define it in some ridiculous and unsafe way. On top of this, the rise of menstrual issues, infertility, hormone instability, autoimmune diseases, low libido, and a whole host of other physical and mental challenges are stifling women’s ability to thrive. The connection between the pelvic bowl, the heart, the nervous system, and creative power is so much more than fertility. In reality, it is the stabilizing point in the body where everything is held and transmuted. Learning to work with this portal is an incredible tool for healing.

As a women’s health and Chinese medicine practitioner, I am a big fan of the Taoist way of viewing connection. ‘Dao Yin’ is the concept of moving towards harmony from a state of pleasure, which, yes, can mean orgasm, but also finding the bliss in everyday activities, the mundane, and in one’s body. The reality is the human body is encased in a pleasure-fueled wrapping that many of us are out of touch with, yet houses our instinctual health compass.

The pelvic bowl, womb, yoni, etc, and the woman’s body deserve more care and respect for the physical, spiritual, and creative power she holds. Learning the language of this sacred portal is the first step in supporting your overall well-being, creative capability, manifestation, orgasmic bliss, and embodied truth.

What is Yoni Mapping?

There are various types of internal and external womb massage available to women. This particular style focuses on the landscape of the yoni for healing from trauma, dry tissues, hormonal changes, emotional challenges, low libido, and has the ability to support women before and after birth.

I have used this technique for decades with my birthing mamas, perimenopausal and menopausal ladies, women with sexual trauma looking to reconnect with their pelvic bowl, and women with menstrual irregularities. I have seen powerful changes take place with PMDD and other womb-related issues around pain and physical discomfort. As one of my teachers, Tami Lynn Kent, once said, “ the woman’s body always tells the truth.” Just like her, I learn from the female form, listening to my clients with all my senses.

Learning to heal your tissues with your hands is a powerful way of reclaiming your body, but is also a revolutionary act in a time when women are increasingly harmed, attacked, abused, gaslit, and ignored. Understanding the changes in your tissues, ligaments, fluids, and the landscape of your pelvic bowl (NOT FLOOR), will provide you with the necessary skills to assess your health and connect with greater pleasure. As women, we are rarely taught what to look for or how to care for our womb in a way that is supportive of our health. Mostly, we are taught our body belongs to our lovers or children alone, leaving many women to lose touch with what is going on down there.

This technique will allow you to create a connection to your pleasure zones, heal dry tissues, reduce pain, and strengthen your pelvic bowl as you age. Tapping into the wealth of sensual and creative energy stored in your womb is your birthright waiting for you! Unlock tension and health through this simple but profound practice!

Historical Connections...

Womb practices have been around forever! But various midwives, Taoist texts, and indigenous cultures have developed versions of this practical application with different twists. It is connected to the Taoist practice of Dao Yin (the pleasure principle), Tantra massage, Mayan Abdominal Massage, the Victorian Era “hysteria” massage, and other forms of internal massage connected with midwifery and gynecology for organ, ligament, and tissue health.

I first learned this technique when I worked with a midwife from Guatemala in the late 1990s. Later on, I learned another version in Chinese Medicine school when researching Taoist practices for womb wellness, especially post-pregnancy. Over the decades, I have taught this practice to women, doula clients, and students, as well as performed it on women with various womb-related issues in my private practice.

As a women’s health practitioner and advocate, I find this technique to be priceless! It is easy to do, helps a wide range of yoni challenges from PMS/PMDD, sexual and emotional trauma, dehydrated tissues, pregnancy and postpartum support, menstrual cramps and irregularities, low libido, and so much more. It is truly a powerful technique to have in your tool belt.

The Bao Mai, Vagus Nerve, & The Sexual Energetic Body…

In Chinese Medicine, the Bao Mai is in an internal channel that runs alongside the Vagus Nerve in the central part of the body. It connects all the organs from the pineal gland to the womb, innervating everything in the body, working with breath, blood, and neural connectivity. As women age, the tissues of the body change with hormone & neurotransmitter fluctuations, so having practices that support the health of the whole body allows for overall wellness. Womb practices are an excellent way to recalibrate your nervous system. You have probably heard of these or even tried them yourself.
