BLUE LOTUS MEDICINE
Blue Lotus Medicine (Nymphaea caerulea) AKA Egyptian Blue Water Lily, has been used for thousands of years in different ways. Known for its visionary properties, invoking dreams, increasing intuition, calming the mind, and relaxing the body. While this beloved plant has been used in teas, infused wine, tinctures, and in smokes, we will be working with the tea for this group dieta.
Called Blue Lotus, but technically of the Blue Water Lily family, it is intricately connected to the Underworld given the biological nature of the flower — closing and sinking at dusk, rising and opening at dawn. The Egyptians thought this cyclical pattern represented going to the Underworld to learn and returning safely with the knowledge gained. We see the same pattern in the Inanna myth, Isis and Osiris, and the path Venus takes through the cosmos. We will honor Venus returning from her brief retrograde period and slowly rising as the Morning Star. The significance of this relates to the spiral pattern we go through via our menstrual cycle, birthing a child, perimenopause, and menopause.
The Venus New Year coincides with the Dark part or Winter time of the year. It is an inward time of reflection, full of wisdom, preparing oneself for the overall descent coming. It is in this place we tap into the Dreamtime, opening ourselves up to the gifts of intuition, prophetic and BIG message dreams. When entering and leaving the Underworld, there is always something that must be given up - a habit that has been completed or is no longer necessary, a role we no longer want to play, an identity that has ended, etc. This is where Shadow Work comes in through reflection, journaling, ritual, mirror work, meditation, and more.

This powerful plant being is still revered in Egypt today. Connected with Hathor, an Egyptian Goddess associated with the Sun and Venus, the Blue Lotus was her flower, representing the cyclical patterns in life. MEET YOUR GUIDE…
Seven Crow has been working with Sacred Earth Medicines (AKA psychedelics) since she was 12 years old, and is a 4th-generation herbalist with Native American and Scottish heritage. A proud witch, she is traditionally trained in Huachuma (San Pedro), Psilocybin, Moonlodge/Sweatlodge ceremonies, Birthkeeping, Herbal & Chinese Medicines, the Wise Woman Tradition, various forms of massage, and she blends these paths with her knowledge of women's health, womb embodiment, archetypes, and Rites of Passage.
As a devotee of the Rose Path, she began her journey with this plant in 1997 at the age of 19 and continues to study with Curenderas from around the world, as well as offering diets and trainings with this magical being. As an advocate for women 35 and over to embrace their Changing Woman Years (aging) as a path of initiation towards the Wise Woman Years, she combines plant diets with ceremony, ritual, and microdosing alongside modern medicine to blend the spiritual with the physical.
Seven is a student of the Women's Mysteries, a Goddess worshiper, and Guardian of the Earth. She loves to learn ways to support the planet, reduce her footprint, teach women how to come into alignment with Pachamama (Gaia/Earth), the moon, the seasons, and the Elements. Having left the United States in 2011 to work in Southeast Asia, she moved to Peru in 2012 and has been living and working between Peru and Mexico, while continuing her studies of medicinal and magical traditions from around the world.
